The Second Doodle

Elsa RhaeComment

I had taken a liking to foxes shortly after first owning my fox-like Shiba Inu, Kamp. I explored the idea of fox tattoos and put the idea away for the winter to marinade in my brain. On a very impactful and self-exploratory snowboarding trip to Colorado, I came upon 2 gorgeous foxes. Upon some research I deemed the fox as my spirit animal and the rest is history. This geometric fox design is now a piece of my tattoo sleeve in progress.

The NEW Doodle Series

Elsa RhaeComment
The beginning of a new doodle series on my YouTube channel where I create weekly doodles mingled with symphonic music, audible excerpts from books, words about me and/or a ukulele solo or two. Each doodle will be different and each video will be a unique art piece in and of itself.

Dark Fairy Body Paint

Elsa Rhae1 Comment

The only reason I named this a "fairy" body paint was because of the butterflies I used to cover my nipples. While the butterflies do make the look a bit more fanciful and dainty, I can't help but be reminded of how odd it is that breasts are so loved and feared at the same time. Don't get me wrong, you probably won't ever see me running topless down a busy sidewalk; I simply find it strange that our culture has got this weird female nipple taboo. We've all got nipples. Interesting stuff I'd say. Though I'd like to let me body be free through my body paint art, I'm happy to give respect to those with different view points and continue to cover my nipples (for now!!). :D

The Face that Started it All

White Walker.

"Viral" was not in my vocabulary beyond discussions of the common cold. I was a year out of college, working for myself with few strings attached and even fewer securities. One day in May, 2014, the world met my face (my white walker face, that is) and my life decided to take me down a path that didn't make any sense, but was pretty radical none the less.

I'm a HUGE Game of Thrones fan and during May of 2014, I was unable to find ANY examples of strictly face painted White Walkers. I took a stab at it (3 times at incriments of ~4.5 hours each) and painted my eyelids blue because I didn't have access to blue contacts. I can proudly and boldly admit that though you may have seen hundreds of blue eyelid'd White Walkers on the internet, mine was the first.
